Congratulations, you created your website! But now you need to make sure that google can find it and show your content to people. You’ve come to the right place because in this article, I’ll show you how to verify your website property for Google Search Console in Bluehost in 2022.

Step 1: Add Property

When you click add property, you will type in your domain name. For purposes of this illustration, I created a fake property called “test.com.”

Step 2: Copy Text Record

After you click continue, you will be taken to the page shown above, where you will need to copy the TXT record that Google Search Console provides.

Step 3: Go to Bluehost

After you login to your bluehost account, click on domains.

Step 4: Go to Manage Domain

After you click on domains, go to the specific domain you want to create a Google Search Console property for. Then click on manage.

Step 5: Go to the Domain’s DNS

After you click on manage, click on DNS as shown in the photo.

Step 6: Scroll to TXT

After you click on DNS, scroll down to the TXT section. Then, click on Add Record.

Step 7: Add New DNS Record to Verify Property for Google Search Console in Bluehost

After you click on Add Record, a new screen will appear, as shown in the image above. In the Host Record field, put @. In the TXT value field, paste the link that you copied from Google Search Console. And in the TTL field, select the option for four hours. Then click save.

After you click save, wait about four to eight hours before returning to Google Search Console to verify your domain ownership.

Let me know if you get stuck on any of the steps. I hope this helps you!
